Changes in the ARIS server side
The performance of the server side has been increased that allows users to work more quickly with large models now.
In these versions, the recovery mechanism for large user databases (more than 2GB) has been improved and the operation of the user database merge mechanism (Merge component) has been optimized.
Changes in the ARIS client side
In the ARIS Architect/Designer clients, standard reports "Generating job description" and "Creating process manual" have been improved.
For matrix models it is possible to use a model comparison script now.
In the ARIS Connect Designer thin client, management of documents and their versions has been improved. Now, when attaching a document to a model, the system offers to select all documents from the list that have been recently uploaded to ARIS, regardless ARIS Document Storage folder where the documents were placed by users (Fig. 1). This feature helps to avoid duplication in the document repository when uploading documents.
If a document has multiple versions, a user is offered the latest version of the document by default.

In ARIS Connect Designer, information search capabilities have been improved and a filter by connection properties has been added (Fig. 2). These features allow users to narrow down the search and find the needed information faster.

Working with models in ARIS Connect Designer has become much more convenient thanks to the new explorer tab containing object occurrences (Fig. 3). This tab allows users to navigate quickly between occurrences of the same object in different models.

Also, management of model variants has been improved in ARIS Connect Designer. Now, when creating a variant of the main process model, it is possible to create variants of assignments represented by the function allocation diagram (FAD) or the BPMN diagram for description of the subprocess.
In addition, user account management has been enhanced in ARIS Connect. Now, it has become more convenient for the administrator to assign roles and privileges to users through the groups which they belong to.
New software modules
The ARIS administration module has appeared in the web interface – ARIS Web Admin. Previously, all administrative functions such as database management, folder access management, configuration settings, filter and template management were only in ARIS Architect. Now, users can access administrative functions via ARIS Web Admin module without using ARIS Architect.
Also, a new module ARIS APP Generator has appeared. It was developed by Software AG together with its partner Imendos. This module allows users to develop and quickly deploy their own applications for business. For doing this, a model is developed in ARIS that meets special requirements, and the necessary attributes are filled in. During the design, custom forms of the future software application can be developed in ARIS. Then, the models from ARIS are transferred to the partner's engine via the internal interface where the working application is compiled.
ARIS APP Generator can be integrated with various platforms and websites, for example, SharePoint, SAP Fiori, Jira.
