ARIS Platform
ARIS (Architecture of Integrated Information Systems) is a software platform designed for the collective development, analysis and optimization of enterprise business processes. Business Process Management (BPM) based on the ARIS platform supports the enterprise at all stages of the management cycle and helps to solve problems of process optimization and reengineering, as well as preparation for process automation.
The first version of the ARIS software was released in 1994. It has been contained only three software modules. Currently the line consists of more than 20 modules that incorporate the best practices for describing, analyzing and optimizing business processes.
The software product continues to develop. Any new paradigm that appears in the field of process optimization and business description implements in ARIS as a set of models and analytical reports for them.
ARIS allows to describe business process models and models of the other components of the enterprise architecture. For user convenience, all models are divided into 5 blocks, which are designed to describe the organizational structure of an enterprise, its documents, functions, products and services that it produces, as well as the processes that are performed in it.
ARIS platform supports a centralized data repository that allows all system users to work with a single database.
Once the various components of the enterprise have been described using different types of ARIS models, they can be documented, analyzed and optimized. ARIS platform supports the entire business process management (BPM) cycle, from setting and documenting goals to monitoring actual working processes and measuring the achievement of those goals.
Below you can find a description of the ARIS platform products and cloud services.
ARIS Design Server
This software product allows users to work collaboratively with ARIS models. It provides a workspace where you can create databases, move models from one database to another, combine information from various databases, and configure user access to models.
The ARIS Design Server stores the general settings for all client products connected to it. For example, there is a methodological base, which determines the composition of the methodology available in ARIS Architect and ARIS Designer. As well as it stores a set of filters and templates, that determine the number of models and their visual appearance. ARIS Design Server also stores reporting scripts, database queries, macros, and tables that help users analyze information in databases.
ARIS Connect Server
Just like ARIS Design Server, it allows users to work collaboratively with ARIS models. ARIS Connect Server fully contains all the functionality of ARIS Design Server. And in addition, the ARIS Connect Server also includes a WEB-portal that allows more employees to access information from the ARIS repository.
WEB- portal allows users not only to publish the created databases on the network, but also to discuss them with colleagues and make changes to models and documents.
ARIS Designer
A software product designed to describe and analyze elements of an enterprise's corporate architecture. It is a client application for working with a repository of data stored in ARIS Connect Server or ARIS Design Server.
ARIS Designer is primarily a modeling tool, but it also contains analytical tools, which are represented by pre-configured queries, reports, macros and the ability to work with analytical tables.
The query functionality is a tool for searching the necessary information about the relationships of various business objects according to various criteria. ARIS Designer also contains a large number of built-in reporting scripts, thanks to which you can create regulatory documents with information obtained from models. And built-in analytical scripts are used to analyze models.
ARIS Architect
A software product designed to describe and analyze elements of an enterprise's corporate architecture. It is a client application for working with a repository of data stored in ARIS Connect Server or ARIS Design Server.
ARIS Architect fully includes the functionality of ARIS Designer. In addition, the product has functionality for managing methodology, configuring filters and templates, managing versions and variants of models, and setting up access to models. ARIS Architect contains a large number of tools for analyzing database information, including tools for creating queries, operational analysis, tables and scripts.
The operational analysis functionality allows you to create multi-dimensional analytical queries and find indirect relationships between elements according to various criteria.
ARIS Basic
A cloud solution based on ARIS Connect, which has minimal functionality. It does not include administration capabilities, except for the administration a self-created database and user invitations. The ARIS Basic methodology has a significantly reduced set of 7 types of models. The user can create models, view and comment on models, and run standard reports. Working with the ARIS Document Storage is not available.
ARIS Basic is a perfect solution for the initial stage of process design projects.
ARIS Advance
A cloud solution based on ARIS Connect, which provides full modeling capabilities, but reduced administrative functionality. Users can customize the methodology, filters, and templates. It is not possible to configure workflows or user functional privileges. A WEB-portal with the ability to comment on models, Collaboration section, a section for creating and editing models, and ARIS Document Storage is available.
ARIS Enterprise
A cloud solution based on ARIS Connect, which is a full-featured ARIS Connect software product. Supports the ability to customize the WEB-portal configuration, manage users, administrate databases repository, configure and manage dashboards and workflows. It supports working with the ARIS Document Storage, creating models, viewing and commenting on models, and the Collaboration section.
It is possible to install ARIS Enterprise in private cloud mode for the needs of a particular enterprise.
ARIS Express
ARIS Express is a free standalone application for a business process modeling that supports basic types of diagrams, does not have its own repository and model analysis tools. It does not provide multi-user support. The following types of diagrams are supported: organizational chart, data model, BPMN diagram, process landscape, IT infrastructure, business process, whiteboard, system landscape.
The saved models can later be imported into the database of ARIS Platform products and fully used, like any other ARIS models.
ARIS Express is an ideal tool for an initial description of the elements of the business architecture, even for beginner users.
ARIS Process Mining
ARIS Process Mining helps you understand your business processes to find bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement. It allows you to collect process data and quickly analyze it, providing comprehensive insight into how your business operates. Thanks to that, you can identify the weak points of the process and find ways to improve it.
ARIS Process Mining contains the following modules: Process Discovery, Process Compliance, Process Enhancement, Root Cause Miner, Task Miner, Insight-to-Action, Data Integration & Transformation, Accelerators.
Process Discovery allows you to discover end-to-end processes (including process hierarchies and variants) across multiple IT-systems. Process Compliance automatically compare actual process execution with the basic process definition and your business rules, providing you with a clear understanding of how well your processes align with reality. Process Enhancement allows you to overlay data obtained from process mining directly onto your process model to visualize the process variations and compliance.
Root Cause Miner helps you to identify and resolve specific issues that are causing delays and bottlenecks in your business processes. Task Mining helps you gain an understanding of how employees interact with technical systems and with each other. Insight-to-Action module allows you to configure triggers that initiate certain actions based on the process mining results. Data Integration & Transformation is necessary to connect your process mining project to any data source. The gallery of pre-configured Accelerators will help you easily and quickly start to generate meaningful information for your analysis.
